This song still fucks me up. The lyrics are so real.
One of the best music video in history. Period
The older you get, the more you understand the song.
For those who didn't know: Tony Kanal and Gwen broke up and this crushed Gwen's heart because Tony was her first love. After some years, Tony and Gwen renewed their friendship and then decided to make this song. The woman dating her first love here, is really the real life girlfriend of Tony and now, his wife. This is an example of a very mature approach in dealing with an ex and a relationship, where we can still be friends with our ex, but, we still can't hide a little pang of hurt inside (remembering the old memories you had together) yet, we are also wishing them happiness in life.
NETFLIX please make a series about this music video!!!
Not only does she look beautiful with blonde hair but, she also looks STUNNING as a brunette! ❤️️❤️️
Imagine being this mature about a broken relationship.
This is the most mature song dedicated to those ex that finish their relationships were in good terms, most speak of hate for having left with another one or the problems from past rather than forgiveness like this.
The classy version of "thank u next"
Gwen with brown hair and little to no makeup is the most gorgeous I've ever seen her hands down!
I think she looks better as a brunette...
okay Gwen was 35 in this video..... HOW DOES THIS WOMEN LOOK SO GOOD AT EVERY AGE!
Is there anything more iconic than the tea sipping/kiss flashback sequence?
She was the Marilyn Monroe of the 2000s and she still looks gorgeous to this day.
Almost 14 years... Unbelievable!!! I still love this song so bad and I still can relate to it so much!!!
You will experience several eras throughout your lifetime. It's strange though. 10 years ago can feel like a different life while 20 years ago can feel like yesterday. Music can tie you to an era. My advice is to live for today. Yesterday is gone. May your days be filled with love.
Since I was a very young girl I’ve always been so intrigued with not only the song and lyrics but the story line! I always wondered how two people who had so much love for each other could still be civil long after they’ve moved on... until found myself in the same situation years later. This song has a whole new meaning and place in my heart now. Thank you Gwen for this absolute gem of a song ❤️
The “Thank u, next” of my high school years. I’ll admit the lyric, “Circles and triangles and now we’re hanging out with your new girlfriend” will always trigger me.
The location is S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G!!.
This song makes me miss moments I never had. Weird.
